Magellan is built by Happy Path Software. This policy explains what data Magellan handles, where it goes, and what we don't do.

What stays on your device

Most of your data never leaves your phone.

What we send to process your requests

When you interact with Magellan, your conversation — including text you type, voice transcriptions, and any photos you attach — is sent to Anthropic's API to generate a response. This data passes through a proxy server operated by Happy Path Software on Cloudflare.

What we collect about usage

We collect anonymous session telemetry to improve the app. This includes:

Telemetry does not include conversation content, names, health data, or any information that identifies you personally. This data is stored in a Cloudflare D1 database operated by Happy Path Software.

What we don't do

Apple HealthKit

Magellan reads HealthKit data (such as workouts, steps, and sleep) solely to personalize your coaching experience. This data is processed on your device and is never sent to any external server, including ours. We do not store, share, or use HealthKit data for advertising or marketing purposes.

Adult use only

Magellan is designed and intended for use by adults aged 18 years or older. Magellan is not directed to, intended for, or designed for use by anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor has accessed Magellan, contact us at info@happypath.fit and we will delete the associated account and data.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
